After being diagnosed with heart failure in 2019, Sara Hatoum finally found a way to channel her passion for sharing stories, and helping people see the world from different lenses. Dealing and adapting to her diagnosis, and learning more about her new condition planted the idea to help spread awareness and information to others around her.

Sara hopes to normalize living with a medical condition to not only adults, but to children as well–with the hope that they can be afforded a more understanding and comfortable social lifestyle. Sara graduated from the University of Alberta with a Major in Biological Studies and a minor in Fine Arts in 2017. She describes herself as more of a devourer of books than simply an avid reader; she also enjoys painting and looking up videos of alpacas in her spare time.
